EXPLORER

Let me trace mountain range of your beauty,
scale curving contours of your silken form,
penetrate your psychic caves – brave duty
of this lover refusing to conform
to stale puritans’ “no trespass” commands.
Question origins of tri-tiered necklace,
heart-shaped ear ring, motion of slender hand
gently touching your braided crown. Your grace
seems hidden from you, yet never from me.
Let me measure your aqua iris for
its sadness and its joy, treasure its sea
reflecting sunsets you so treasure, tour
vast secret reasons of your knowing smile,
holding you close and dancing all the while.
