APPEARING

Ocean current constant rhythm whirling.
Lost live wire lashing pavement, gyrating,
flaring through night. Fleets of fireflies swirling
dark thorn thickets. Wild-eyed snow geese mating
through slashing blizzard. Radiant silence
after thunderstorm, moist air’s renaissance
soaking parched tongues. Tiger’s eyes stalking dense
bamboo for prey clueless as pebbles. Dance
of lovers delirious with passion.
All this flashing, appearing from ancient
depths sudden as lightning, inspiration
dashing through as last chance. Shall we consent
to create? Cast nets over images
and phrases fleeing yet melding ages?
